Hollywood Hills Burglar Caught on Camera

On the afternoon of January 15, 2014, police responded to a call from a Hollywood Hills residence that had been burglarized. The homeowners were able to provide surveillance video that showed a Hispanic male knocking on the front door, probably in an attempt to determine if the house was occupied. The man then walked around the side of the house, climbed over a fence, and used a hard object to break open a sliding glass door in the rear of the house. After entering the home, he searched for small electronics, picking up five cellphones and an Apple laptop before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. Thanks to the CCTV footage, police were able to issue an APB for the man, who is described as a Hispanic male around 30 years of age, weighing around 200 pounds and standing between five foot six and five foot ten inches tall. The suspect has a shaved head and was last seen in a white shirt and black Adidas sweatpants. Police believe this man may have been responsible for other burglaries in the area and are hoping a member of the public will be able to provide further information about him.
